1972/1973: secretary-researcher of the Social Sciences Faculty Educational Programming Commission. Assisstent of Dr. Wijand Wijnen, the later founder of the Maastricht University problem based education system. Specific tasks: inventory of creditpointsystems and setting a faculty standard for the use of credit points.
1974/1978: student-assistent of Dr. Wim Hopman, head of the university teacher training center of the Groningen State University. Specific task: activity management and audiovisual sustainment of the experimental multimedia classroom and keeping of the audiovisual library. Sustaining microteaching.
1978: guest-teacher in photography at the Groningen teacher training institute ‘Ubbo Emmius’. Teaching a course in photography, as a part of the training programme for art teachers.
1979/1982: manager of the Audiovisual Centre of the seven Deventer Higher Professional Education Institutes. This was an experiment of the Dutch Ministry of Education to explore combining of sustaining functions in a national school fusion project. The centre proved to be quite a succes and was continued later by the seven institutes.
1982/1984: curriculum developer at the National Institute for Curriculum Development (Stichting voor de Leerplan Ontwikkeling, SLO in Enschede, the Netherlands), department of art education, in a project curriculum development for cultural education in close contact with a 100 school-projects I wrote a curriculum format for this sector of education on the macro level (‘Cultuur mee-maken’, translated: cultural participation for secondary education).
1984/1985: founder and first manager of the audiovisual centre of the national agricultural educational service center (Audiovisueel Centrum STOAS) in Wageningen, the Netherlands.
1985/1986: teacher in instructional theory and practice in the teacher training institute for nursing in Leusden, the Netherlands. Task: restructuring of teaching modules and teaching instructional theory.
1986-now: educational technologist at the Open Universiteit Nederland (OUNL), Educational expertise center (Otec). Tasks: design and development of courses, multimedia, web-based education, educational research, teacher education and consultancy in instructional design. Made over 30 television programmes and audiovisual programs, was projectmanager of 7 multimedia programs, one of which (practical Assessment Center) was awarded in 1993 with the Sony Interactive Video Award.
